Membership Benefits

New members receive a Pocatello Car Club t-shirt. You can pick up your at our table at car shows or you can text me at 208-806-1405 to make arrangements getting the t-shirt to you.

Club members will decide the winners at our car shows by casting their votes here on pokycarclub.com.

All paid members can list their business in the Business Directory. There is no extra charge for this. While in your profile, click on Business Directory and fill it out. Make sure to add any discounts you offer club members where it says "Special Offers". If you would like your business to be advertised like the ads you see on the page now, you must become a Business Member.

We'll be adding local businesses to business directory soon. On each listing it will show the discounts offered to paid members. Our goal is to make this benefit easily pay for the cost of membership. As the membership grows, more businesses will sign up.

Every paid member will have an unlimited photo album for uploading pictures of their vehicles, marked "My Vehicles". This will create a database for the car show judges to look through when sending out invites. Also when you spot a car in town and you’d like to know who the owner is, you can search the database. It’s also a great way to get to know and share with those that have similar interests in vehicles.

It's not required to be a paid member to register for our car shows and everyone is welcome to our meet-ups and cruises. This club is not trying to exclude anyone, but there will be activities for paid members only. One of my ideas is to have a small indoor swap meet for tools and car parts where paid members could set up a table for free. Another idea could be having a club rally, maybe to the Sawtooths or other nice areas around Pocatello. There is a forum for posting ideas.

If you appreciated the cruises on Main, the car shows in Old Town and the car shows in the mall with the amazing cars and if you appreciate the work being put in to bring events like the 100 ft drags and drifting exhibition to Pocatello, becoming a member is a great way to show it. All of these events and our future events have two things in common: they take time and they take money. Your $25 a year gives the car club a budget that will ensure Poky Car Club can continue to put on these events. 

Your membership will also help give the car community a larger voice in regards to building a motorsports campus in Pocatello. In the past year, we have had over six meetings with the select committee and the mayor working towards this goal. As a member, not only will your $25 a year help to fund this effort, but you can join the motorsports campus committee and be a part of the progress.

Paid members can join committees to organizing events, work on bringing a new motorsports campus to Pocatello and set up the structure of the car club. If you want to be a part of making things happen, this is where you sign up.

It was explained to me early when I started working on bringing a motorsports campus to Pocatello, it is going to have to be done by someone forking out a lot of money or politically. Seeing as how, I have no budget to work with and I really can't show an investor how he is going to get a good return on his investment, my best option is politically. And the best way to gain power in politics is with numbers. If we can build a large actual club, not a Facebook group, but a paid membership club, the leaders of this community will take notice. Once the campus is built, if we show them we're organized, hopefully Pocatello Car Club can be the ones to operate it as well. Maybe the biggest benefit is being part of this club is hopefully being part of something that helps build a place for the car community to drift, do Auto-x and have drag races.
